I have to travel for work and it is the first time leaving my babies… I want to video conference with them, what equipment can I purchase to make this happen? We only have one lap top.

One each side you need a PC with a web cam (optional) and a microphone (required).
Laptops have built-in microphones and there are web cams with built-in mics as well.

Then install yahoo messenger on both, although there are many other alternatives (MSN, AOL, Skype, etc.)

What do you think? Answer below!

    Hi,

You would need a web cam on both ends for you to see the babies. I would recommend picking up a webcam for about 25-30 USD (creative, logitech, microsoft lifecam, etc) so you can see them back.

From there…all a matter of choosing a video calling product that works for you. Possible options:

    Skype (download required)
Tokbox (used to work there); no download required
