Question by jokersmile: Do you agree with recruiting employees through a video conference interview, rather than an eye/eye interview?
Notice that this recruitment had no written test…the interview is the only method for recruitment…is it fair enough to have the interview done through video conference rather than eye to eye? Will a candidate be capable of transmitting his/her real capability for the job? Will the employer get a fair picture of the candidate?

It’s not preferable, but it might be okay if distance is a factor.

It would be easier for me to lie and pretend to be something im not if i was staring into camera rather than someones eyes. So, i would say no
Yes. I have hired many people after meeting them only in Second Life.
i think they should get to know the applicant’s IQ before doing the video conference. i myself underwent a computer exam before having the interview. but it depends on the employer on how they evaluate their applicant because maybe in their own way of recruiting, they can easily evaluate through mental logic.
It seems to me that it is an excellent way to conduct interviews, as long as both the employer and the candidate can see and be seen.
as a prospective employee, I would find the technological element of the encounter entertaining and relaxing, thus giving a picture of my personality that is more accurate, rather than less.
