Free Online Video Conference solution for 35-40 ppl?

Question by Gandhi: Free Online Video Conference solution for 35-40 ppl?
Actually, I’d like to organise a Class Reunion of sorts. All my school buddies have separated ways into different countries (and even continents!). What I’d like to do is to bring ‘em all together online for an hour or so.

Since most of us are still students, paying for this service is simply not an option. Already, since most of us are in India where Broadband is just catching up, most of us’ll have to visit a Broadband cyber cafe to hook in. And we’d each be paying individually for this. Therefore, ppl would be reluctant to pay up extra.

And, even assuming most of us are willing to pay, collection and disbursement of this cash is a major issue across countries. Therefore, free is our only option.

Yahoo! used to have user-created chat rooms enabled, the service is no longer available. I found PalTalk after considerable research, but then they limit their voice conferences to 10 users at a time.

Any bright ideas, guys?

I’d be most grateful to anybody who’d help me out… :-) Thx.

most IM’s will offer a few ppl, i think if you pay for yahoo IM, you can increase the amount of people on one call.. before it used to be 8 or something? pretty sure if one person pays they can just invite people. as for 50 not sure.

it will take a lot of bandwidth, so the easiest way would be to setup/use ur own servers bandwidth. it will take a serious amount of bandwidth. thats probably why its not gonna be free, if you do find any that support so many people at once.
