What’s wrong with using an internet conferencing program rather than flying on private airplanes up to halfway across the world? Shouldn’t our world leaders be setting an example by not flying on planes that spew the very demonic Carbon Dioxide gas that they’re trying to eliminate? Am I missing something here?

yes, you are missing quite a bit. world leaders should engage in face to face diplomacy, discussion etc. it builds relationships and partnerships.
Do you have any clue on how many misunderstandings have been born through internet use? People can’t hear vocal inflections, can’t see facial expressions, read things into what’s written that aren’t there. It’s important to be face to face to avoid any misconceptions.
True, effective leadership requires that one lead by example. These people are certainly not leaders. What we have are self-styled rulers, those that would make rules for the rest of us to follow, but from which they themselves are exempt.

There are certain matters that can be resolved via internet conferencing or conference calls, this I agree with you. But, many times, especially in business, talking to someone face to face yields better results than looking at someone through a computer screen.
That’s called common sense, none of them have that.

It has nothing to do with global warming or the environment. It is a huge scam that is meant to divert money and power from the people to the UN.
Our world leaders are flying to Copenhagen not to do anything for this supposed “Global Warming.” They’re using this Global Warming scam as a way of Internationally taxing modern and industrial nations (for breathing, industrial exhaust, etc) so that revenue can be used to fund 3rd world countries attempt at modernization. So in other words, this Global Warming summit is an attempt at worldwide Communism!

They could videoconference which is what a lot of countries do, but Copenhagen is supposed to be groundbreaking and coming to a massive agreement via Skype or iChat wouldn’t be as impressive as doing it face to face, also how would the PR work, you can’t Photoshop in leaders.
