i am using my webcam for video conferencing…
The cheapest way I’ve found is to use the Citrix application GoToMeeting. While not video based, I believe they have a “webinar” set of software that will allow video.
Yearly the price is approx 370 US for gotomeeting. Which is nothing (Well, for a company). Not sure what webinar would be, but it’s probably going to be in the same neighbourhood.

I like Yahoo Messenger a lot.
Easy to download, anyone can find it on the ‘net, has voice and video.
A lot of people are mentioning skype … and I’ve never heard of it, so chances are your clients have not either!
